How it works: Our 8 Step Home Selling Process

There are a lot of moving parts to selling real estate. For over 20 years, we’ve been working with home sellers like you to guide you from being ready to sell to a successful closing. Below, we provide an overview of the process.

1. Understanding your goals

Let’s get to know each other! Every home sale is different and happens for different reasons. We will sit down together at the beginning of the process to identify and get aligned on your goals.

2. Market analysis

This is one of the most important parts of the listing process. There are real downsides to both overpricing and underpricing. How do we find the right balance? We’ll visit your property in person and then perform a detailed market analysis that takes a look at market activities, recent sales, and trends. We will present you with our expert opinion and come to an agreement on the list price.

3. Preparing the listing

What type of work is needed to maximize your return on investment? Do you need to do a bit of remodeling work? Fresh paint? Deep cleaning? Update the landscaping? We have the vendor contacts to do excellent, cost-effective work.

We believe that every home should put its best foot forward. That’s why we include free home staging for all of our listings.

4. Photography and marketing

If there is one thing we know for sure, it’s that Buyers want to see amazing photographs of homes… and lots of them! All of our listings feature gorgeous HDR images. Professional photographs will make your home shine.

We then take those professional images to generate a comprehensive marketing strategy to sell your Seattle area home. Our approach includes targeted social media advertising, email marketing, and personalized 1-to-1 outreach.

5. Showings

Whether advertised public open houses or scheduled private showings, we’ll coordinate with you to minimize the impact on your day-to-day while also making sure the listing is accessible to buyers.

These are the last steps before closing.
